I ponder it’s pretty important to start out and utter that this is purely my perspective and this might/might not be spokesperson of other people from the community. To preface this, I am arrogant to be gay and to be a part of the community.
Honestly I feel like a lot of straight people try to use this to attach some essence and identity to introducing their friends. But it’s not ok. I used to be ok with my girlfriends calling me this but it’s been bugging me a lot recently.
I’m done with people dictating and organism fetishised for being lgbtq+. Yes I’m gay, but why
should the main marker of my individuality be pegged to my sexual orientation. I need to be recognized for myself for my individuality and as a person. Yes, being gay is a facet of my identity but it’s super annoying when people shove it in others faces.

Cody Craig, 23, of Salt Lake Urban area was on the clock when his coworker handed him a note intended for him from two complete strangers on Friday.
One of the individuals was Tanner Forbes, 23, who was playing wingman for his woman partner named Janae, and helped to inquire Cody out for her.

It was apparently Janae's birthday on this day, so Tanner was extra encouraging of her to shoot her shot at attractive guys they came across. When they both spotted Cody, Tanner slyly threw his shot in there as adv.

Cody told BuzzFeed News he “laughed” when he read the note, but neither he nor his coworker saw who had written it. Initially, he was not planning to reach out to any of the numbers. He was simply flattered, and tweeted the record out, saying it “was the point out of [his] day.”

Student Cody Craig, 23, was active at a mall in Salt Lake City, Utah last Friday when a co-worker approached him and gave him a hand-written note on a scrap of paper.
The letter was from shopper Tanner Forbes, also 23, an star who had seen Cody while out with his friend Janae Klumpp.
He wrote: 'Hey, if you're not gay, my friend thinks you're cute. Here's her number:'
His method seems a little bit 'primary school' (you know, "my ally fancies you!") but it's sweet.
However, he then continued: "(and if you are queer , here's mine:)"
Cody shared a photograph of the observe on his Twitter account, saying: "Well this was a highlight of my day".
