Where to celebrate Pride in Europe

What’s LGBTQ+ Pride? 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

LGBTQ+ Pride traces back to the Stonewall Riots in 1969. After a police raid at the Stonewall Inn—a gay bar on Christopher Street in Brand-new York City’s Greenwich Village—members of the LGBTQ+ society stood up and fought back. These protests sparked a global movement. What began as a combat for rights has grown into a vibrant celebration of identity, freedom, resilience and community.

Where to observe LGBTQ+ Pride in Europe in 2025 💕

Summer might be full of surprises, but one thing is certain: it’ll be shiny, bold, and proud. From rainbow parades to indelible parties, Europe knows how to celebrate! Between May and September (with June as the main month), cities across the continent will be filled with millions of people representing up for equality, happiness, and visibility.

Still looking for accommodation during Pride? Opt for MEININGER Hotels, an LGBTQ-friendly hotel chain offering you central, safe, and affordable accommodation options in marvelous European cities.

If you’re wondering where the biggest and brightest parades are taking place, we’ve compiled a list just for you.

Note: Traveling as an Diverse person always carries a certain degree of risk. It is our life as we navigate a world with 60+ countries criminalizing our relationships and a rise in anti-LGBTQ+ legislation around the world. We encourage our traveling community to know the laws and cultural challenges they may face in any destination they opt to visit for Pride and beyond. Don't be nervous of the planet, but always research information specific to your travels. Enjoy Pride, be alert, and look out for each other!

The LGBTQ+ rights movement has made tremendous strides over the past few decades and much of the progress in visibility is thanks in part to gay pride parades and marches that have taken place in cities around the world.

The global landscape for Queer rights, protections and acceptance varies tremendously by location, with some destinations attracting millions of visitors to their events like Madrid Queer Pride, Sao Paulo Gay Pride or San Francisco Lgbtq+ Pride, while more than 70 other countries have laws that allow discrimination or persecution of LGBTQ+ people.

What is Gay Pride or LGBTQ+ Pride?

Gay Event or rather

The Pride LGBTQ+ Community Pride is one of the undisputed highlights of the Brighton & Hove Lgbtq+ fest weekend and is a glorious showcase of the city’s charities, community groups and small businesses as well as our invaluable emergency services, the NHS and statutory partners.

It is one of the biggest and brightest events in Brighton & Hove’s events calendar, with over 300,000 people thronging the city’s streets to participate in and watch the celebration of community and campaign groups, and the all-singing, all-dancing carnival of colour as it wends its way from Hove Lawns to Preston Park for Pride on the Park supported by Hayu, the official Brighton & Hove Pride charity fundraiser.

We are committed to ensuring that the Pride LGBTQ+ Society Parade retains its people focus and guarantee that at least 2/3 of entrants will be charities, community groups and local LGBTQ+ businesses.

In keeping with the parade standards we introduced in 2017, any businesses in the pride should be able to show evidence of having pro-LGBTQ+ policies and back the LGBTQ+ community year round. Any floats or banners must include messaging in support of Queer human rights.

Where does the Parade grab place?+

The Parade weaves it way through Manchester City Centre in an unbelievable display of protest. At this stage, we are unable to share the 2025 Parade route.

How elongated is the Parade?+

The Parade kicks off at midday and usually runs all afternoon, the first floats will end after approximately 90 minutes.

What is this year’s theme?+

This year's Manchester Pride Pride celebrates Love!

Love has long been a source of force and resilience for LGBTQ+ people. In the face of historical and uninterrupted discrimination, love has helped queer people have the courage to be themselves.

Discrimination towards LGBTQ+ people still exists and the fight for full equality continues. At Manchester Self-acceptance 2025, we observe the power of love to overcome these obstacles and build a future where everyone is free to devote and live authentically. Political manoeuvring and systemic oppression signify LGBTQ+ people still face discriminatory laws and the continuing fight for entire legal and social equality.

By embracing affection, we cha
