Sniffies' Cruising Confessions
Historically, pop tradition has been so essential to LGBTQ people, not only because we often experience sexual awakenings to figures in the media we consume, but also because so many of our favorite films, shows, and records have been created by queer people. In this episode, Gabe and Chris have a freewheeling discussion about pop culture, erotic discovery, porn parodies, cruising and Buffy slashfic, with our favorite podcaster and a...
This week, Gabe and Chris dive into the complex topic of chemsex—the pairing of party drugs and sex—within queer and trans communities. Poet and performer Joss Barton shares how her gender journey began with an acid trip and how exploring pleasure through substances became part of her story. But it wasn’t until she began incorporating her experiences into her wild, hilarious performances that she started to break ...
The 2012 FDA approval of PrEP as a tool for HIV prevention gave HIV-negative queers anxiety-free access to the sexual freedoms of the 1970s. But writer Daniel Sanchez Torres says PrEP didn’t exactly make things easier for HIV positive folks who still deal with stigma, re

Cruising 101
We all know Sniffies–and the pandemic–ignited a lgbtq+ cruising renaissance in cities around the world. But where did cruising initiate and how has it changed over time? This week, Gabe and Chris welcome writer and activist Leo Herrera to talk about his new booklet, “(Analog) Cruising”, which offers tips and tricks for making the most out of your cruising experiences, whether you’re a beginner or seasoned pro.
A Mention From the Director, Adam Baran
I was on my way home from a concert Tuesday bedtime when I decided to check Sniffies to see what was happening at the cruisy see at the park near my apartment. I logged into the app, launch the big orange circle, clicked, and saw that about 10 guys were checked in.
Inside the park, I posthaste found a community of four guys jerking off. I knew what I wanted. I got down on my knees in front of one and sucked him for what couldn’t own been more than a minute or two before he nutted in my throat.
I first started going to this park to meet up during the pandemic after I’d had my vaccine doses. It was so useful to have Sniffies to check and watch how many people were there, and what the
I didn’t know what to expect from a Sniffies podcast but this present is excellent. The guests are interesting and engaged, and the hosts are both so good!! Their questions are insightful and they do a attractive job teasing apart various subjects and sharing their own thoughts and judgments while making room for many different experiences and perspectives. I have enjoyed almost every episode and I’ve learned a lot too! I hope Sniffies keeps making this podcast for years to come.
Love this podcast and the topics you cover. One request… please turn off your mics during the cruising stories! It’s tough to hear the recordings over your reactions :) Thank you!
Chris and Gabe are not only wise, funny and incredibly charming but also in every episode with every guest they take you to a journey beyond sexuality. I just can’t fetch enough and I’ve been learning so much! I feel so comfortable, shielded and seen to perceive and be open to topics that are going far of what I was expecting. Every episode is a master class for you to include your queerness and realized that… guuuuurl, you-are-not-alone and there’s a lot of people waiting for you (whatever that you are into)… Bravo Sniffies.
