He has nothing but praise for the movement - he feels he understands his hold female friends so much better now.
"I think it's a little different," he says. "We are voluntary participants.
"This isn't you going about your day, getting a coffee or even thinking you're on a nice spend time. You're not getting forced into a corner with your back - theoretical or literal - against the wall trying to escape.
"I choose to be employed here so I think just participating in that way changes the dynamic."
I pursue: "Do you sense objectified?"
"No, because I'm participating," he replies. "Objectification means someone's reducing you against your will - this is not against my will."
I am wondering how he feels about recent workplace developments: Formula 1's banning of the "grid girls". Or the darts "walk on girls". What about boxing's "ring girls" in Vegas?

The Chippendales are taking over Tulalip Resort and Casino tonight. The show is completely sold out but Jaymes gave us some time in his busy schedule.
Earle Dutton: You have been interviewing a lot of celebrities lately, like Joan Collins and Robin Leach. Who was your favorite so far?
Jaymes Vaughan: I hate to just pluck one because it gentle of makes me appear like a jerk but Susan Lucci was astonishing. The timing of that interview was awesome. I interviewed her the week that my episode of The Young & The Restless was on the air. It was so cool to interview the Queen of Soap Operas the week of my soap opera debut. I got her input and her advice on how to make a career out of it. She was just so hip to do the interview in the first place but to also hold time out of the interview to speak about me and my career. She is a very cool lady. She taught me how to slap and everything.

But the men of Chippendales are no joke. The Las Vegas-based striptease troupe has been at it since 1979, and will smash Indy on tour later this month — in their bowties and shirt cuffs, naturally. We caught up with three celestial body dancers to talk families, fitness and what the world gets wrong about male stripping.

How did you fall into this line of work?
I didn't fall, I chose. I've been a performer for 10 years now. I was trained in musical theatre. Chippendales was a great professional opportunity for me.
