Landmark Americana
Beer towers, spicy tuna egg rolls, loaded nachos, Angus burgers and smokehouse ribs. You ready to go to Landmark yet? We are, and I think that’s all we have to say. Still, we’ll go on: enormous parties, great DJs, awesome drink specials and don’t dismiss $2 U-Call-Its on Tuesdays and Thursdays and Monday Mug Night where you get $2 U-Call-It’s from 8pm-12am when you buy a mug. Bring the mug back every Monday for $2 refills. Plus, there’s Underground Bar, located right below Landmark. It’s open Friday and Saturday nights and they don’t hold drink specials because their prices are always that small. Ok. Now we’ve definitely said enough.

Perhaps the best (and sometimes the worst) thing about the West Chester restaurant and retail scene is it is ever transforming. Exciting new establishments expose all the time, but to make room sometimes we have to declare goodbye to old favorites. So in this last post of the year, let’s take a moment to reflect on all those we have lost.
In Memoriam
As 2019 comes to a close, let’s recall all the places we said goodbye to this year.
Appalachian Brewing Company
Appalachian Brewing Company closed their doors over the 2019 holiday break to the surprise of no one who has been there recently. We were there before the Christmas parade and while they were decently busy there was just no life left in the place. Hopefully the owners can find an establishment that has what it takes to construct people want to initiative to that end of town.
Restaurant 51 Tap & Spirit
The brewpub that brought back the old firehouse 51 sold its business to Slow Hand and officially closed its doors this spring.
Pure Fire Pizza
“It’s really good pizza and the employees were superb . It’s a shame the West Chester location is closed now.”

Place was dirty and the music was super blaring and distracting. They suggest GF fries on the menu however while ordering I was then told they don’t have a separate fryer so fries were off the menu. Not a place I would go back to.

We've been here twice. I affectionate that I can hold a decent burger with a gf bun! They have several selections on their gluten free menu.

Love that I can order from a decent selection here. Food is good, and I often get the burger - get it with guacamole! Apps, soup, entrees, and salads. No dessert or dedicated fryer but overall, one of my fav places to go with total confidence in WC.
