Ramrod, started in 1994, has always been a heavy-duty cruise bar, and the Miami Herald says “the vibe is hip and friendly (no attitude here)… This is a man’s bar. The decor is dark and gritty” in its own singular way.
It was one of the first bars to jumpstart the North Fort Lauderdale / Wilton Manors gay district. It’s customers are not all about leather… but Ramrod was voted world’s Best Block (Leather Category) by GayCities.com. and also the most famous.
International Mr. Leather Competition in Chicago has had Ramrod sponsored contestants capturing the title twice, winning second runner up twice as well; on the podium more than any other bar or corporation. Ramrod’s logo defines the club as a “levi, leather, uniform bar;” but on any given darkness you’re bound to discover musclebears, hunks, “butch” twinks / boys looking for daddys, and a mixture of anything and everything in between. If you don’t feel like that suit and tie fits in– just take it off– half of the guys won’t be wearing any shirt at all anyway.

Trains: Amtrak provides rail service to Hollywood, with a station conveniently located in the city, making it ideal for those traveling from within Florida or from other states on the East Coast.
Automobiles: Hollywood is easily accessible via major highways, including Interstate 95 and the Florida Turnpike

Owned by Jerry Schultz, Mona’s Cocktail Lounge & Lisa’s Backyard has been a popular gathering identify and local watering hole since 1997.
Stop in any morning for a fantastic cold beverage, a game of pool, or to hold out on the patio. Great priced drinks and amiable bartenders round out the specials at this pet-friendly drinking spot.
